Hard Days Night Hotel Wedding
John and Tessa had a Hard Days Night Hotel wedding in the centre of Liverpool. This hotel is stunning and situated at the top of Matthew Street and right in the heart of Beatle Mania. John is a huge Lennon fan so this venue was everything to him and it really was everything he hoped for. You can’t turn a corner in this hotel without seeing a picture of one of the fab four.
After the ceremony we took a stroll down Matthew Street to see the John Lennon and Cilla Black statues. This was a Saturday afternoon mid summer and as you can imagine it was heaving. John and Tessa were made to feel like celebrities though as hen parties etc all looked on and cheered the couple as they walked down Matthew Street.
It was an incredible day for an incredible couple. Huge congratulations guys.
Preparations in the Paul McCartney Suite
The girls all got ready in the Paul McCartney suite which is an incredible room with a balcony overlooking the city.
The Ceremony
The ceremony took place down stairs in the function room. The room is full of pictures of The Beatles and a really interesting room to have your ceremony in.
Portraits
For the portraits we went down Matthew Street and to the world famous Cavern Club. After this we jumped in a black cab and headed down to the front as Tessa and John really wanted a shot with the iconic Liver Building in the background.
The John Lennon Suite
After the meal and speeches we had access to the John Lennon suite which is something else. In the corner sits a white baby grand piano and John couldn’t wait to get his hands on it to play Lennon’s famous song ‘Imagine’. This room has had the likes of Justin Bieber, Liam Gallagher and many other famous names stay there. It’s another room with a stunning balcony and beautiful decorations.
The Party
After the first dance, the party was in full swing and everyone had an incredible night. Live music by Wirral band Munch had everyone dancing.
If visiting Liverpool and going to The Hard Days Night Hotel we strongly advice you visit Matthew Street and go to the world famous Cavern Club. Matthew Street itself is a fantastic day or night out with live entertainment in almost every bar. Now because parking can be a nightmare in the centre of town, we recommend the train to Lime Street Station or park in one of the Liverpool 1 carparks and then walk across.
